蔡皋， (1946- ) ，女， 湖南长沙人，祖籍湖南益阳。

Cai Gao (1946- ), female. She was born in Changsha, Hunan Province and her ancestral home is Yiyang, Hunan Province. 

1982年之前曾长期在乡村小学执教，之后供职于湖南少儿出版社，从事图书编辑工作。

She has taught in a rural primary school for a long time before 1982 and then she worked in Hunan Children’s Publishing House, engaged in the editorial work.

重大艺术活动：

Major art activities:

1993年，《荒原狐精》获第14届布拉迪斯拉发国际儿童图书展(BIB)"金苹果"奖。

In 1993, Wild Fox won the “Golden Apple” award in the 14th Bratislava International Children’s Book Fair (BIB).

1998年，应日本JBBY、日中文化交流协会之邀，参加于知宏美术馆、安昙野美术馆举办的《中国绘本画家原作展》。

In 1998, she was invited by Japan JBBY and Japan China Cultural Exchange Association to participate in the Original Exhibition of Chinese Picture Painter held in Chihiro Art Museum and Azumino Art Museum.

2001年，与日本著名绘本作家，出版家松居直先生合作的绘本《桃花源的故事》由福音馆书店出版。

In 2001, she cooperated with a famous Japanese picture book writer and publisher Mr. Tadashi Matsui and the picture book Story of Peach Garden was published by Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers, Inc.

2002年，作品《桃花源的故事》原作展在日本巡回展出。《桃花源的故事》原作为日本东京木城绘本之乡美术馆收藏。

In 2002, the original exhibition of the work Story of Peach Garden had tour exhibition in Japan. The original of Story of Peach Garden was collected by Town of Picture Books Art Museum in Tokyo, Japan.

2003年，《桃花源的故事》被定为日本小学国语教材(日本教育部指定教科书小学国语用3大书、国语615)。

In 2003, Story of Peach Garden was designated as the Japanese language textbook for primary school (3 major books of textbook for primary school and Japanese language 615 designated by Ministry of Education of Japan).

2004年，绘本画作《荒园狐精》、《桃花源的故事》、《阿黑小史》参加"XIX. Bienale ilustracti Bratislavas Lovensko世界绘本原画展"在日本浦和美术馆、奈良县立美术馆、秋田县立近代美术馆、千叶市美术馆巡回展出。

In 2004, the picture woks Wild Fox, Story of Peach Garden, Story of Ahei participated in the roving exhibition of XIX. Bienale ilustracti Bratislavas Lovensko World Picture Books Original Painting Exhibition held in Japan’s Urawa Art Museum, Nara Prefectural Museum of Art, Akita Prefectural Museum of Modern Art and Chiba Art Museum. 

2007年，插图作品《牛郎星和织女星》、《高亮赶水》、《熊家婆》、《晒龙袍的六月六》、《秋水》等在美国亚历山大镇伊丽莎白画廊展出。

In 2007, illustration works The Altair and Vega, Gao Liang Catches Water, Xiongjiapo, Jun, 6 for Shining Dragon Robe, Autumn Water was exhibited in the Elizabeth Gallery in Alexander Town, USA.

黄永玉先生看到她的作品后说“湖南有福了！”设计大师杉浦康平说，“读着她的画，有着在不经意间想要诵读出声的冲动。”

When seeing her works, Mr. Huang Yongyu said: “It’s the luck of Hunan Province!” And design mater Kohei Sugiura said: “There is an impulse to read out the sound when reading her paintings.”

她就是蔡皋。几乎所有业内人士都认为，中国如果有一个有资格获得安徒生奖的话，那一定就是蔡皋。

She is Cai Gao. Almost all the people in the industry believe that if there is a Chinese eligible to win the Andersen Award, it must be Cai Gao.
