您好，北京酒厂艺术园区表画廊，从6月14日开始，我们将举行为期约三个月左右的世界顶级美国雕塑家Jonanthan Borofsky个人展览。

2008年Jonanthan Borofsky受中国奥林匹克主办方邀请，将在奥林匹克公园为纪念2008年北京奥运而设置大型的装置作品。与此同时，我们表画廊也希望趁纪念奥林匹克之际为大众带来更多的优秀作品，因此我们将为大家带来Jonanthan Borofsky的最新作品。

Jonathan Borofsky 1942年出生于美国的Massachusetts Boston，1964年毕业于Pittsburgh Carnegie Mellon大学，1966年在YALE美术建筑学校学习，之后于1975年他在Paula Cooper画廊首次参加个人展。直到现在为止，他已经参加过无数次的展览. 乔纳森·博罗夫斯基(Jonathan Borofsky)是近世纪代表的作家之一，尤其是公共雕塑领域上，他可说是首屈一指的艺术家。 他的（Jonathan Borofsky）作品在德国Frankfurt，Basel，London的现代美术馆，以及Paris Center Pomoidou，USA Whitney美术馆等被世界各地所收藏。而在北京，他的作品会在北京奥林匹克公园开幕之时也将亮相。由于这次是专门为纪念2008北京奥运而做的新颖的环境雕塑，所以与以往的作品大有不同，我们期待这次展览所给我们带来的艺术的新视野和无限的震撼。

最为难得的是他在Minimal Art的影响力和新构想运动的强烈漩涡中依然维持自己独有的方式来创作的艺术家，并把个人梦想和人类劳动当作创作的源泉而展现于他的艺术作品之中。他的作品可以说是属于Post – Modernism这一类的艺术，倾向并同时属于这一类的艺术家还有Andrew Warhola, Francesco Clemente, Enzo Cucchi, Salome等等。Jonathan Borofsky的早期作品在Paula Cooper画廊展出后，他的代表作“Hammering Man”分别在1981年于Swiss Basel的Kunsthalle画廊以及1982年在德国每四年一次的世界性美术活动Kassel Documenta，LA County美术馆，Philadelphia美术馆，纽约Whitney美术馆，Minneapolis的 Waker Art Center等世界上最优秀的美术美术馆巡回展出。

 

 

 

Jonathan Borofsky

Jonathan Borofsky was born in Boston, Massachusetts, US in 1942 and he graduated from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA (1964) and also studied at Yale school of art and architecture. Since he had the first solo exhibition at Paula Cooper Gallery, he has joined numerous exhibitions. His works have been collected by many renowned museums of art such as Frankfurt and Basel in Germany, London museum of contemporary art, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Whitney Museum of American Art and other places all over the world. His work also will be installed in Beijing Olympic Park in Beijing. This environmental sculpture is made so as to celebrate the Olympics 2008 and this will be the new type of his works that have never been able to see. Borofsky is one of the artists that represent the century, especially in public sculpture.

He is the artist who especially has his own style even in the swirl of new structure movement and the influence of Minimal Art. He considered individual’s daydream and labor as creative energy and he based on this philosophy and does his work. The genre of his work is included in Post-Modernism and Andy Warhol, Enzo Cucchi, Sandro King, Francesco Clemente, Luciano Castelli, Salome are in the same group.

In the beginning, Borofsky’s works are exhibited in the museum of art and other galleries. Then, his works are exhibited in Kunsthalle gallery at Basel in 1981 and he also has joined the worldwide art event called Kassel Documenta which is held once per 4 years since 1982. His one of famous work “Hammering Man” is also exhibited in LA County Museum of Art, Philadelphia museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and Waker Art Center in Minneapolis, and other renowned Museums in the world.
