袁远出生于1973年，毕业于中国美院。在袁远的作品中，他以自身的经历作为创作的灵感，作品将多种现实混合进杂草丛生的没有相互关联的公园一角。这些素材重叠并置，层层制约，细节被聚拢，笔触被抹去，作品被擦显呈一个独特的平面，模糊了美丽与恐惧，幻觉与现实。

这些物体和特性：旅行者，电视主持人，教师，异装皇后，女警察，杀人犯，等等，都扮演着相同的角色。他们凝集在作品背景中，在时间中戛然而止。

《摸象》是一个具有讽刺意义的故事。意识的薄弱和误解都是从这个故事中引申出来的。我们的眼界，偏好只会使我们受限于对于事物的理解：这是艺术家每天所要面临的问题。

In his works, Yuan Yuan, born in 1973, graduated from the China Academy of Art, depicts scenes inspired from his own experiences, mixing multiple realities into an overgrown garden of unrelated elements. Layers after layers, details are accumulated, brushstrokes are erased to be replaced by new ones and rubbed into one common and unique surface, blurring beauty, fear, illusion and reality.

 

Objects and characters: travelers, TV announcers, teachers, drag queens, female policemen, murderers, etc., all played by one same actor, are agglutinated into the background, fixed onto a stillness in time.

 

“The Blind Men and The Elephant” is a story on prejudices, senses’ weaknesses and misunderstandings which result from them. Our vision field, partial, only enables us to have limited understandings of things: an issue faced day after day by the artist.

 

Shopping gallery will hold Yuan Yuan’s first solo exhibition from October 19^th to November 23^rd, 2008.

 

 

                       

请你简单地自我介绍一下，或介绍一下你的背景

答：我的经历比较简单，在中国美院上学，从附中到研究生基本都念了一遍，而且念了很久，但是没能做好一个学生，倒是从把画画当作一个职业起，不间断的开始工作，也越来越敬业。

 

Can you briefly introduce yourself, the background that you live?

My background is quite simple. I graduated from China Academy of Art. From high school, which was attached to China Academy of Art, to postgraduate, I spent a lot of time. I was not a good student, but I look on painting as my occupation, continuously devoting myself into creating and doing it quite well.

 

能不能总的介绍一下你的作品。

Can you tell a general idea about your creation?

总的来说看你作品的图片又有一种很熟悉的感觉（很熟悉的场景，可能因为属于我们的生活当中的场景）但同时也有点“超现实”，或有点虚构的感觉。像梦里一样。。。

有一些作品，像《公园一角》包含很多细节。是不是一些象征？还是是偶然的？

答：对，这一组作品都源自生活中发生过的场景。但是个混合重组的现实，充斥着杂草丛生的空地，自我牺牲的动物，似曾到过的公园。没有关系的素材和支配想象力的每样东西重叠并置，层层制约。间隔上场但一同消失，抹去的一切又结晶为一个重建的景象。网就是这种空间分隔界线的一种，模糊了美丽和恐慌、现实和梦幻，把人们从现实带到现实背后的另一个现实。

Generally speaking, your works give people an expression of familiarity (very familiar scenes that probably exist in our life). But it’s also a little bit surreal, a kind of illusion that make people feel like in a dream.

In some works, like Garden Corner, it contains many details. Whether it’s a sort of symbol or just occasional still objects?.

静止物体的静止并不是真的静止，旧的痕迹被擦抹，新的痕迹会出现并重叠其上。继续行走还是嘎然而止？这是处于可见世界瞬间移动之中的时间静止，踌躇衍生出优柔寡断的想象。游客、健身房老板、电视节目主持人、课堂教师、异装皇后、女警察、杀人犯由同一个演员扮演，离散的背后是凝聚。几乎离间了光、影子、颜色所散发出来的明确性、瞬间性、魔性，它是不合逻辑的、派生的、矛盾的、陌生的、自律的、超自然的，它的来源是隐喻，结果是游离，溢出画面，弥散开来。

 

 

 

你这次展览主体是？

能不能解释一下。。。

关于题目《摸象》来与源于其中两张作品，一是《摸象》，二是《公园一角》里面人在玩的也是盲人摸象游戏。我想有两个含义1是指向自身，不论多努力`多精巧全面，有很多东西几乎不可能被触及。面对事物，常象摸象的盲人一样陷入紧张和争辩。假以时日，情况才会有可能日渐明朗。

2是指向观者，可能由于每个人各自背景不同，能触及的、所关心的都只是某一个局部，所以针对作品会有解读差异，人和人之间还是有着无法逾越的鸿沟。

 能不能简单地讲关于你的技术。。。

答：我的技术挺复杂，主要是擦抹，尽可能的把画出的东西又刮去抹去，但旧的痕迹被擦抹，新的痕迹会出现并重叠其上。是一个既去除又保留的行为。
