       展览前言:

       卜兹，本名陈宗琛，1959年出生于台湾台南溪心人。卜兹择以东方艺术型式「书法」成为自我展现艺术实现之媒材，更持以「狂草书」自我主体反射性强烈超越的可能；创作核心价值全然地源自于东方哲学思想，师从古人，追求「技与道」全然地实现。透过「技」的锻炼，相映于中国古代各大书家精神力的纯粹性，转化成为自我生命可用的能量；随着自我生活修养经验的堆栈，成为生命底蕴的蒙养，创造当代时空里奉行「古典法度」的东方艺术「原创」价值，为创作者自我主体最大的「生命愿望」。

       Bu Zi, whose real name is Chen Zhong Shen, was born in Ci-Xin Liao, Tainan, in 1959. Bu Zi chose the oriental art form of “calligraphy” as his media for self expression and artistic realization; he even used “a wild scribble” style to subjectively reflect the strong possibilities of transcendence. In creating a core value which completely draws its origins from oriental philosophy, he learned from this ancient art to fully pursue the realization of “Technique and Dao--the way.” Through his practice in “Technique” he infused each work with the purity of the spiritual powers of different great Chinese ancient calligraphy masters, and transferred it into self expression and useful energy. In this self expression his ethical pursuits and experience grew tremendously. Then to achieve a continuing sustained growth of his life’s inner secret and create a unique creative value” he followed “the classical method” of oriental art but practiced it in contemporary time and space; in this way he fulfilled the artist’s greatest “life wish” of self-subjective creation.

       卜兹先生的草书，初见即让人震撼和激动，结字大小不一；用笔万化之锋．醉舞旋书，时而含蓄藏锋，时而锋芒毕露；章法气脉贯通、起伏流走；笔锋所指直抒胸意，既循传统又极具表现。将书法与现当代艺术完美结合，现当代之东方神韵弥漫纸上。

       I was thrilled at first sight of Bu Zi’s cursive script, the characters of which are of different sizes and changing strokes. Sometimes they are implicit and other times explicit. Each move of the strokes goes smoothly and beautifully. They follow the calligraphy tradition and express the artist’s thoughts at the same time, a perfect unity of calligraphy and contemporary art.

       正如去年在苏州博物馆举办卜兹书展时，张欣馆长引用唐朝大文豪张怀瓘的评价：＂深识书者，惟观神釆，不见字形。＂通观卜兹作品，又犹如一张张抽象绘画，将中国文字的线条演译得如此潇洒和完美。

       Last year Bu Zi held an exhibition in SuZhou Museum, and its curator Zhang Xin remarked his artworks by quoting a great calligrapher Zhang Huaiguan in Tang Dynasty, “One who knows the calligraphy well sees its inner spiritual expression not only its form and figure.” Bu Zi’s artworks are also like abstract paintings, which handsomely and perfectly represent the beautiful lines of Chinese characters.

       此次展览，延续着「八锋旋书」的魅力，展现自我生命审美观，深含大宇宙间的奥藏，集无数万个的宇宙，进入无边想象力的遥想，贴近且完全融入其中。藉由失落宝藏–「书法」，通过当代艺术家卜兹「书法线形的再现」，不仅是自我艺术表现形式的显现，是神迹的「创造」，毎个人内在微观小宇宙是神的一部份，提升、启蒙地球进入新文明是当下关键的时刻。符合东西方文化大融合的时空，艺术的原创性将带给全人类全新能量的启示，有新想法、新希望和新方向，持开放态度，使能拥有到达无限知识能量，引领世界艺术创造力的开拓，实践东方新文艺复兴的再现，灵性之光弥漫着世界各角落，完成爱与和平的真实存在。

       This exhibition will continue the charm of the “Eight Brush Strokes and Spinning Writing” and express his personal aestheticism, which contains deeply stored secrets within the great universe, and collects a hundred thousand universes to enter a distant dream of boundless imagination and completely and intimately blend into it.Through his precious “lost calligraphy” and via contemporary artists, Bu Zi’s “Re-appearance of Calligraphic Line and Style,” not only presents the appearance of a personal expressionistic style, it is the “creation” of a miracle. He shows that everyone’s internal micro-view is a small universe that is a part of God; it lifts up and enlightens the earth and enters into the new civilization of the now’s crucial moment. In bringing together the Eastern and Western cultural union of time and space, his unique artistic creation presents all mankind with an inspired revelation replete with new thought, new hope and new direction. Holding such an open-minded attitude makes us obtain the energy, which can achieve endless knowledge to guide and to expand the world in artistic creation. It demonstrates the re-appearance of a new Oriental Renaissance, where a sagacious light pervades every corner of the world, and brings about the real existence of love and peace.
