Dear Friends,

The exhibitions UNIVERSAL THEATRE – Charlie Co: Global Drama and Xu Xiaoguo: Behind the Curtain that opened on Feb 22^nd at Osage Singapore drew to a close 3 days ago. Universal Theatre presented two very different artists who played on the device of the theatrical stage to create works of great intensity and drama shown in their respective solo exhibitions.

 

On opening night, it was with great pleasure that we witnessed the multi-talented artist Xu Xiaoguo collaborating with dancer/choreographer Aaron Khek to present the contemporary dance theatre《印影》| Copy Shadow.  The meeting of minds between painter and dancer/choreographer in the collaboration was especially meaningful since 《印影》| Copy Shadow is a piece inspired by the artworks in Universal Theatre.
