The high tech mass media has now changed our lives profoundly. The method of "infinite reproduction" creates an illusionary world, which is independent from the reality. Imitation becomes a procedure to create an "existence without origin".
In the works of this exhibition, Kim Changkyum criticized and modified the interpretation that he had about the relation between objective existence and image. He borrowed pictures from western masterpieces with his own view to make his art.
Succeeding to the thriving exhibition "Shadow" in Japan, Kim Changkyum now holds another important Solo at HAN JI YUN Contemporary Space and CHEN LING HUI Contemporary Space both in Beijing and Taipei.
