My work plays with both familiarity and estrangement, but also examines the contemporary conditions (and problematic) of our relationship to objects and materials in relation to their symbolism, physical context, content and situation.
我的作品不仅亲密和疏远有关,而且调查了同时代条件下(和不确定的)我们对物体和材料的关系涉及到他们的符号、物质环境、内容和处境。
Primarily, via the production of objects, my practice explores a practical, spatial, mnemonic, imaginary, expanded relationship to dwelling. This may reference the scale of a work desk, the space designated by a rug or the use and misuse of supermarket plastic bags. These practicalities of living interact with seeking out remembered materials, the play of a line of dialogue from a film, a song title/lyric, a colour or form.
首先,通过目标的成果,我的作品致力于探讨一个与我的住所实用性的、空间的、记忆的、虚构的、展开的关系。这涉及到工作台的尺寸、小地毯或者是使用或者滥用的超市塑料袋指定的空间。生活中的这些实用性与找出的记忆中的材料相互作用,来自电影中的对话、歌曲名/歌词、一种颜色或者形式。
I see objects as ‘affiliates’; and by use of badges, stickers, design items and exaggerating personal gesture obtuse narratives are ‘described’. Put simply - a practice that I hope exploits the margin that appears when something that is familiar is made unfamiliar and visa versa or conspiratorial yet resistant to the specificities of culture.
我把物体视作这一种附属物,通过用徽章、贴画、设计项目和夸张的个人姿态,迟钝的叙述是“被描述的”。简单来说,我的实践是希望利用出现的边缘,当事情由熟悉变的不熟悉,反之亦然,或者是对文化特征有阴谋的但是又有抵抗力的。
Work is created and installed to manifest a ‘description’ of an alternate locale. These ‘locations’ are established via different display mechanisms. This maybe simply initiated by the space a rug (or its design) presents or by creating an enclosure by mirroring windows in a gallery space.
作品的创作和安装是为了表明交谈场所的“描述”。这些“场所” 通过不同的展览机制来建立。这些也许简单的通过在展厅的空间里展出一块地毯(或它的设计)或者是通过创造一个有反射玻璃的围墙来开始。
My practice is one that is heavily involved in the processes, economy, networks and concepts of exhibition making; including production, curatorial and collaborative activities.
我的作品跟做展览的过程、经济、网络和观念有深远的关系;包括产品、管理和写作的活动。
On the residency programme at Organhaus I am interested in the reflex of work production. The aim is to undertake a residency program that can act as a fundamental counterpoint to local English references. Placing myself in an environment where I will have to expediently reflect and push against alternated social, economic, semiotic, linguistic and architectonic values.
在器空间的驻留项目中我对于作品成果的反射很感兴趣。我的目标是试图把驻留项目当做对当地英国人的反映的基本对应。把我自身置于一个我可以轻易的反映和推出社会、经济、符号、语言、建筑的价值观念的环境中。
