MK2 Art Space is very pleased to present, Tao’s Pixel, a monumental exhibition of painting and installation by Chinese artist Tao Na.  This isTao Na's first one-person exhibition with MK2 Art Space.

For nearly a decades, ‘Block’ and ‘hand-made’ is the salient features of Tao Na’s works. Blocks represent the "pixels" which can be witnessed everywhere in currentdigital age. Pixels are the smallest units of “point, line, plane”, andthese even have symbolic characteristics of the modern age. In each of her painting and installation, Tao Na use different materials and techniques pouring same great hand-made spirit to her works. She creates beautiful andunexpected experience by describing pictures downloaded from the internet with blocks she made through meticulous manual procedure. She captures her immediate feeling by applying ‘out of focus’ technique, blurring, and shaking the images. Tao Na’s works calmly ask us "what’s real truth?." She has participated in important international exhibitions with academic value many times. Her solo exhibition "Tao’s Pixel," will be the overall presentation of her works until recent days.
