The exhibition will showcase two artists' series of paintings and paper works. In these works, the two artists devote themselves to "natural harmony- life intention- body memory" as a channel to evoke new possibilities in painting.
Zhao Jun was bornin Changshu, Jiangsu, China in 1975, living and working in Hangzhou, China now. In his latest "Twenty-four Solar Terms" series, images and abstract lines and faces are constantly overlapped and covered by different layers of strokes, showing unexpected visual effects.
His works combine the phenology and manifestation of a divination of the traditional Chinese 24 solar terms with the actual experience of people in real life, attempting to express the possibility of an ancient oriental way to deal with the modern world of life, giving symbols in abstract art concrete life information and content, and erecting a certain channel between abstraction and reality.
Huang He, born in Yueqing, Zhejiang, China in 1974, is now working and living in Hangzhou, China. Its "Mist" series is the latest work in the past three years. In many of his works, it is usually daubed back and forth in layers of acrylic material, and then carved from the vaguely visible image to a real one in the heart.
His works blend imagery, images and reality together in a way that is not set and limited, revealing a truth of life in the state of being separated from things. As he said:"This is not only a free, changing and real self-world, but also a manifestation of the life world itself. While satisfying my desires with pictures, the works also open the gate to others."
As representatives of a new generation of Chinese artists, the two artists in this exhibition enjoy a high academic influence among young and middle-aged artists in China. As the first stop of the first overseas exhibition, London Sunny Art Centre will fully support and promote the art of outstanding young artists from China and the world, building up a bridge of cooperation for the world's excellent cultural and artistic exchanges.
