Chen Linggang's canvasses of compressed paper and  calligraphy  elegantly spark a discussion of architectural form and cultural diffusion. The artist's abstract gridations of apartment blocks creatively mirror the contemporary landscape of confinement and the quest for cultural identity.

This exceptional young artist graduated from the Jilin Forestry Unversity with a major in Enviromental Arts in the year 2000.
